How to get around

Berlin’s public transport is fast, frequent and easy to use: the U-Bahns (metro), S-Bahns (suburban trains), trams and buses connect the whole city and run to major hubs like Hauptbahnhof or Friedrichstraße.

Tickets are managed by the VBB/BVG system (zones A, B, C); a single-ride ticket covers all modes and you can buy tickets at stations, from machines or via the BVG app.
